Thought I was gone? Well, then you thought wrong.

Introducing thought cramming. Where the given psychic crams thoughts into the subject's head such that they are indistinguishable from their own. And of course, how can someone fight their own thoughts? The answer: by not thinking at all of course!

generally i find slamming my head against the nearest handy surface a few times does the trick, now I can pretend this is why

the trick is to have your brain full of something else entirely. cant have thought put in your head if theres no room to fit them! brain too full of special interests

Ah, it seems people have strategies for my off hand comment.

Or would those 'thoughts' in your head realize that those other thoughts about harming yourself surely belong to an invader?

Exactly. The moment you realize what's happening, simply let those thoughts of master love and craving obedience fill your head so deeply that nothing more could possible enter. A very good plan.

I've had intrusive thoughts plenty of times, if i didn't fight them i'd have been dead for a while now

You don't try to make it disappear. Humans don't think in negatives or nothingness. People would fight it just like how they fight intrusive thoughts: Focus on why that thought is foreign or bad.

My take on the fighting intrusive thoughts thing; a human brain is only meant to handle like... 4 thoughts at once. If you're getting 5 or 6 shoved in your head at once, I don't think you'll have enough mental space to try and fight it... Not to mention we usually only fight off 1 intrusive thought at once.

Exactly the way I see it. Gathering yourself to identify and shove out those invasive thoughts sounds good and all. But that very step might be much more challenging than it seems. After all, all of those thoughts are yours. Maybe you really did want to give in all this time...
