Spoilers ahead, I'm about to explain the joke:
The previous archon of Sumeru wiped the memories of their tenure from the minds of the entire population(though it sometimes went poorly). This mixed with the suggestion to give only wrong answers causes Candace to answer with the greater lord's name. After all, the worst possible answer is a person who she's convinced doesn't even exist.
