Unfortunately, the rest of Carmen's team seems to have forgotten that she was exposed to the subliminal messages as well, and the musical trigger causes Carmen to go into a trance and launch the rocket. Zack later chases off the V.I.L.E. agent controlling the music and shuts it off, waking Carmen up.

is there a scene where they get exposed to the subliminal messaging? or is it too subtle?

Kinda, she is fighting a goon backstage of an opera (obviously Carmen) and he points a device at her and fires, it emits some kind of frequency but doesn't seem to have any actual effect atm and it isn't revealed till this scene it implanted a hypnotic trigger.

It wasn't worth clipping. A bad guy uses a weird audio device during an opera. You see sound waves come out of it, but nothing else. No one realizes it was a subliminal program until Player plays back the audio and finds a voice repeating "Launch the Boomerang" hidden in it.

I'm just now realizing I left a single frame of the shot before cutting to Carmen. Dangit. >_>
