Artist's description:

I forget sometimes that my experiences aren't universal and not everyone likes hypnosis...

I had a friend tell me this a little while ago during a show we were watching together. I understand there can be horror potential in hypnosis, but the scariest thing? Can't relate

*Entrances the boy*

"From now on, you think hypnosis is the most terrifying thing ever."

Whoops

I can see one or two reason why being hypnotized might genuinely be repulsive to some, but mans going to be really upset if he learns anything about how subtle manipulations take place in media & games.

Oh no subtle manipulation is just as horrifying and I despise it

... one or two? I love my friends, being forced to hurt them by an evil villain is nothing BUT reasons to be repulsed

Even this artist constantly draws his characters being terrified of hypnosis

You are sent to sleep. You wake up days, weeks, months, years later. Wounds you don't remember getting. Claims of you hurting or killing others. Video evidence. You remember none of it.

Presuming you wake up at all. For all intents and purposes, you are either asleep or dead.

Being awake in your mind while not in control of your body is even worse.
