Well the first thing you need is a domain and a host. I use asmallorange.com/. Then you're going to need to actually make the webpage Using a template is probably the easiest thing here but be warned you will need to learn a little HTML and CSS. Not much though. I got my template off wrapbootstrap.com/ but some of them cost a little money. Worth it though. Of course things like wordpress or tumblr might be cheaper and easier options depending on what you need the site for

Given that a domain and host cost money at regular intervals, I'd say scratch that, and reverse it. Practice HTML and CSS offline first, then get a domain and host after getting fairly proficient.

This. HTML + CSS for simple static pages. From there, you can worry about javascript for anything more fancy.

or just get a site at freewebs (or whatever it is called now) to use as a testing ground. A completely free website, is what I'm getting at. They DO exist.

alright first off, your gonna need to register a domain name and get hosting; most are ~$10 a month if its not a large ass hosting site like the hub. I'd reccomend dreamhost as they have the nicest customer service ive seen for hosting. If you want just a basic website, just use wordpress or weebly.

Trouble with free website services is they might not have a welcoming terms or conditions of services. Also, if you want to host dynamic content, you can add setting up an at home server and learning how to host files to your todo list. Then applying that with file size limitations ect. to a dynamic website. Web frameworks will let you do a lot client side, and using the browser's web storage object gives you the potential to make simple games.

Otherwise, you can play with html and css on w3schools to realize what you can do clientside.

For various reasons I am looking into a web host that can host adult stuff (mainly because, I want to make some). For Tank's stuff this might not be an issue, as my memory tells me Lilly is less interested in the erotic side of things. But, you need to review a web pages acceptable use policy.

Even if you google 'adult web hosting' some web hosts that get lumped into that category have Acceptable Use Policies that specifically forbid... how did one put it? "selling, or otherwise disseminating, pornography or other erotic material, regardless of its literary merit;" Others ban things like rpg's, which makes it iffy for me because I like the idea of making games and 'toy' rpg's. I know they really mean mmo-rpg's, but I like the idea of being legally clean.
