So this might be a stupid set of questions but I've not found any answers in the official rules and I'd like to know. What's the general policy and/or opinion of making captions for images already on the hub? What about making alternate captions for images that have already been captioned? Are there any guidelines for that, or should I avoid it entirely? It seems fairly obvious that if I want to use an image created by another user of the site I'd want to ask for their permission first. Anything beyond that?

Pretty sure it's been done before. Ask though the DM system and set the new picture as a child of the original and I don't think anyone will have a problem. I don't think there are any rules about but then again I'm not a mod or anything

I don't see it as a problem at all. I mean, it's not like manipping a pic gives you any rights over the original and there are so many pictures on the hub it's bound to have happened by accident countless times by now.

edit: As for the part about adding a caption to an existing manip; probably want to ask the manipper if they are okay with it first.

Anyways, thanks for the input, and yeah I'd want to contact the creator before using anything made by people on the hub. I've not made a parent/child post before but I'll figure that out when it comes up. Thanks. :)

Sorry. Direct Mail. If you click a user you can send them a private message. Childing a post is easy. Just paste the ID in the parent Id field when you upload/edit the post

It's a system by which you contact the dungeon master in order to get approval for actions.

Oh. Duh, that makes sense. I'm used to PM for calling it a Personal Message, instead of Direct Mail so... um... when you said DM I thought...

The sessions always end really quickly what with every encounter converting more and more players to the antagonist's cause, though.
