Not all of them, but some. Since I draw things that I personally find hot, once in a while something slips through that remains hot even after I have spent time and effort refining it.

The stuff that i'm most proud of and feel that it came out well, yes. Otherwise i just go back and recall my own mistakes in embarrassment.

My rule of thumb is that i should be getting off a little when i'm writing it, but the burnout and possible errors can rob me of that later on.

No, because I tend to respect my characters. I know, it sounds pretty hypocritical of me, but I treat them as my own. Really weird, but that's how it is for me.

But I do sometimes make contemporary works that I throw away once I'm...uh.. done.

I feel ya to a degree. I tend to just put the characters I highly respect / relate to on a short never-sexualize blacklist, be they OC or preexisting / copyrighted. For OC's, there's a pretty sturdy wall between my still-under-wraps fetish characters and my 'normal' characters. If I get lucky enough that my normal characters become popular and some other artist wants to sexualize them, more power to them; if I don't like how they're depicted, the internet's a big enough place for me to look the other way.

For fanart, characters on my blacklist (apart from being worthy of respect) have to have either obvious dominant personalities that directly conflict with being a hypnosub, or have suffered some deep physical / mental trauma during their arcs that would make me just feel plain wrong to even remotely abuse them. Korra pegs high on all counts, for instance; I wouldn't feel right using Terra from FF 6 either for the latter reason (especially since the source of her trauma is mind control). On the other hand, Pyrrha from RBWY is a character I deeply respect and relate to, but given her more soldierly / servile personality I can see her liking or at least not minding being a hypnosub, so the jury's still out on her.

I would just upload those as well. Otherwise the effort that you put into it (even if it isn't that much by your own standards ;D) is wasted, and there will always be people that'll appreciate it ^^. There are plenty of great doodles and sketches down here, so please don't move your stuff to the bin when you could upload them here :(.

Please don't do that, you don't want to make me sad, do you ;3?

Yup, I fap somtimes mid drawing to enhance my ideas. I discover new ideas for the drawing; "ooh this would be better to fap to if drew this! or that!" etc.

Then you choose to finish and not feel like drawing for a while or blue ball yourself and draw.

So there's a few yes, some only if it's unique/really good, but most of it is a nope. Thanks for all your input =P Least now I know I'm not the only one who feels that way.

Also, the mind subconsciously associates it with fatigue if it is something difficult to do. At least, that is my theory.

I wouldn't see it as difficult to do, more like what others have said where it's more like 'omg flaws' or 'i changed this here/should i have done something else' or so.

Just don't fap as you draw or you'll never finish.

Finish = immediately lose interest (until later).

I have that too! Respect them too much to think about doing things to them, although if it's something they do by themselves and are in character it's fine. Touhou used to be on that list, but it fell off.

Yeah, I'm much the same way. I can have trouble becoming aroused by some of my own manips. I agree with the general idea that it seems to be because I "recognize what could be better".

Interestingly enough, if I don't share a manip off the bat, I'm much more likely to be able to get off to it. I think it's because I end up giving myself enough time to solidify my point of view on the work before my perceptions can become muddled by the worry that others might not like it.

I think that the cause really is some sort of peer pressure, which is kind of interesting.
