I'm always confused by this how exactly are Snakes Hypnotic? I get Kaa but are just any old Snakes hiding that ability in fiction or is it some super genetic breeding experiment XD
Possibly stems from both Kaa and that old superstition about being able to hypnotize snakes by essentially having a staring contest with them. Plus snakes have been used as symbols of mind control in various media, from snake charmers, to cartoons with robotic snakes shooting brainwashing eye-beams.
