An Artist's Dilemma
I've noticed something, about artists and the people that view their creations.

If the artist says that they don't like it, or don't have a good outlook on what they do, they are called an attention whore by default. Even if they legitimately do not like the end result and see all the flaws.

If the artist says taht they love what they have done, or have a good outlook on what they do, they are called cocky and full of themselves. Or narcisstic, or something else of the sort.

Artists just can't win.

While I've seen that trend with selfies; I don't think I've really noticed it with art. I've mostly only seen people get bashed if they claim their art is perfect in response to criticism; not simply for saying they like what they've made. I don't think I've really seen much of people attacking an artist for saying they aren't happy with something they made at all.

I've encountered it, and seen it to others. Maybe it's the circle of people I know, but even still. It sucks. DX
