well if an entire anime series counts, i just watched the 13 episode series Lupin the third: The Woman called Fujiko Mine. The whole thing has an overarching mind control plot and a REALLY good artstyle

Watched John Wick Chapter 2 this weekend. It was enjoyable. Most certainly not high cinema, but definitely a fun movie.

Good action, the last act is a great homage/nod to Enter the Dragon's mirror hall scene. It's a fun film if you just want some almost mindless action.

Been watching a lot of things lately, but the one thing that stood out to me in a BIG way was the new film M Night Shyamalan, Split.

And man, it is so good to enjoy one of his movies again. So many good things to say about this baby - Great performances from James McAvoy and Anya Taylor Joy (especially the former), precise camera work, sharp writing, haunting score, genuinely scary and suspenseful (especially in the third act) and an ending that culminates in one of the best things I've seen in a long goddamn time. Shyamalan has a sequel in the works and I REALLY can't wait to see what he has planned next.

Well, he's going back to Unbreakable, so there's that.

As well as the annual "He's totally doing Book 2 guys"

He's definitely doing the former but not the latter. And given the results he's been cranking out with lower budgets, I hope he keeps it this way. He's MUCH better when you give him little money rather than a shit ton.

I too have watched John Wick 2. It was a pretty good movie. Headshots for days.

My guilty pleasure is bad shark movies.

Perhaps some might view this as a little silly, but I made a Top Movies of 2016 list. I understand it's late but it's something that I actually feel fine about making. I can't say I claim to have seen everything, but I what I do have is fairly varied and I feel it reflects what I like.

Just wondering if I should post it tonight or tomorrow.

Y'know, I watched the TV movies for both Ed, Edd n' Eddy and My Life As A Teenage Robot recently. Then I tried watching both of the series and failed due to nostalgia overload.

All in all, I wish the MLAATR had some follow up episodes about one of it's characters, Vega, and I truly adored how Ed, Edd n' Eddy's wrapped up the series in a nice little bow of good feels.

Sometimes all you need is a good trip down memory lane.

Damn hearing about that makes me feel old. But yeah Ed, Edd n' Eddy did have a great ending. It really gave a nice conclusion to the whole series which was surprising considering how crazy that show was.

Wasn't it? It answered a question that most viewers had been asking and gave us an incredibly satisfying and sweet ending!

I just still wonder about Plank...was he really just a plank of wood?

My personal theory is Plank is related to Stump from The Angry Beavers.

I still can't believe regular show ended up. such great memories i know it was the best for it as it was starting to turn bad, it will be in my memory as one of the few shows that had a good ending.
