Superman: Doomsday and Death of Superman.

Just saw Knives Out.

Fantastic movie. Loved how non linear it was. I highly recommend seeing it.

Saw Midway last weekend (Kinda late, i know) and was surprised by how many things they got right in terms of history. Almost any scene i snorted at for bullshit...i quickly recalled indeed took place. Solid 8-10 in my not so humble option.

Hidden Figures

The real(ish) story of three black women who worked for NASA at a time of racial segregation. Heart warming and feel good, whilst still casting light on the ugly history of race relations in the US.

Worth a watch 8/10

Finally got around to My Hero Academia: Two Heroes and Jojo Rabbit. Both are great, 8/10 and 10/10 respectively. Just, the ending story beats of Two Heroes kinda sucked.

Misery (1990)

Great nail-biter... very claustrophobic. The less said the better!
Kathy Bates definitely deserved that Oscar.

The Lighthouse

Haven't heard much about this but it's been on my radar since last year. Thought it was excellent. Performances by Dafoe and Pattinson should be up for Oscars.

8/10

Did you seriously just say the voice acting is bad? Did you ACTUALLY just say that people like Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, John Oliver, and James Earl Jones are *bad* voice actors?
Hell, one of the voice actors is THE SAME.

Through the magic of cable, I watched One Piece Film Z (no, that's what it's called). It was the most One Piece I ever watched, and all that I could think about while watching is "why." Why the character designs? Why these gags? Why such a vapid story despite a decent hook? Why Nickelback?

Watched Sam Peckinpah's Cross of Iron for the first time yesterday. What a bleak, grueling, nasty ass War movie. I absolutely loved it.

Finally watched Uncut Gems on Netflix with the hubby. It was....not terrible, but also not really that great either. Could be personal taste, but Adam Sandler was just really fucking unbearable to me in this, so that made watching the movie to its end kind of a chore. I'm glad I did though because he gets shot in the fucking face and killed at the end and it feels so cathartic after suffering through his character's degenerate and shitty story arc.

I will say the soundtrack was pretty cool, kinda gave off Vangelis/Tangerine Dream vibes.
