Just saw Sing 2 with my family. I genuinely enjoyed it even though I feel the original was somewhat better.

As always, the music and visuals are a treat, the humor made me smile, the main cast was as endearing as ever, and I found myself tapping either my toes or fingers to the rhythm.

All in all, a good movie, especially if you want to forget any troubles you might have for a little less than two hours.

...Also, was rather surprised to learn that they're making a movie out of "Marry Me"...

Weird, weird movie. I left feeling like I enjoyed it, and I understood almost every word being spoken, but I feel like I still somehow had no clue what was actually happening for about 90% of the runtime.

Ah, Dune! The book I would not have understood half of if it weren't for that handy lexicon in the back...

Have yet to see the movie, both with and with out Sting.

Dune absolutely rules imo. Never read the books but I saw that in a theater with an edible and watching the whole movie felt as if I was slipping into some sort of Sci-Fi induced trance that truly transported me to another world. Would have made my top 10 of the year if it wasn't for the fact it's only half a movie. I'd have gladly sat in the theater for 5+ hours to view the whole thing.

Speaking of theater visits, I saw Matrix Resurrections with a friend. LOVED IT. A wonderful epilogue to the original trilogy, equal parts spiteful as it is utterly sincere. Probably the first Matrix movie where the talking parts are far more interesting than the actual action bits, which is saying something because it's always been the opposite for me. Also don't get The Last Jedi comparisons on this one; If anything, it's more reminiscent of Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0: Thrice Upon A Time more than anything else.

I'M BRINGING IT BACK, BABY!

I watched Turning Red with my mom the other day. I really enjoyed it. :3

Thanks to a free preview of HBO, I saw West Side Story and Free Guy. I wanted to like the former but I don't think I was in the headspace to do so; the latter was all right, but I think I may have an issue with Ryan Reynolds as a character actor and the "evil game dev" character seems less and less funny the more news cycles pass.

This is a rare movie that gave me a visceral desire to watch it when I first saw promos for it. I have yet to see it (and all the political bullshit surrounding TWDC is not helping) but so help me I want to AND get me a lesser panda plush.

I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. I just wanted to watch it because it looked cute, but I wound up loving the story and the animation. It's a shame Disney doesn't respect Pixar enough to put their films in theaters anymore. The people that worked on this movie really deserved better.

For anyone who's a millennial (or fuck, is coming close to turning/has gone through 30 blues), I hereby require all of you watch The Worst Person In The World. Just an absolute delight from start to finish. Oh and for you freaks who love timestoping, there's an incredible sequence in it that has been living rent free in my head since I saw it (there's also two other scenes that do as well and for those who have seen the film, you probably know exactly which ones I'm talking about).

The Batman was amazing. Patterson, and the rest of the cast all give a great performance, and the choice to focus more on Batman's roots as a detective was an excellent one, giving a Zodiac/Se7en esq vibe to his battle against the Riddler. I recommend everyone catch it

Coming from a big Ridley Scott fan, I found House of Gucci pretty disappointing myself. Great cast and visual style but it's so goddamn sluggish for something that should be manic.

Yeah...it was a very slow burn, and at times felt like it was dragging the drama along for runtime, it also lacked any fun musical numbers, unalike Encanto. Gotta give my thumbs up to Encanto between the two.

I just saw Lightyear. I liked it, a fun Sci Fi adventure with cute call backs to Toy Story. The begining and end are great, the middle droops a bit however. 8/10

Also saw Elvis today...what a film.

Second this! It's on Hulu now for those who haven't seen it.
