So, plsignore ... you remember that nifty guideline we have in regards to not flooding the board with 40+ pictures from another site? Could you please limit postings to 2-3 pictures a day? Please be considerate and follow them in the future or create a pool and hide all but the first 2-3 from index.

Then refrain from posting more than 2-3 pictures per day please. Spread them out a little bit more.

Is that really necessary?

The hub doesn't get enough traffic for a sudden mass posting to cause you to miss any other posts.

You do not lose out on any pictures/traffic with that guideline, they just get distributed more evenly (or hidden away from the index or a link to further works in the comments).

Some artists take a lot of time to create their work and in this case they were on the second page after 3 hours if unlucky enough to post before plsignore flooded the board. First page exposure is a thing - they create more comments and views than if the images are further down, so to keep it fair for everyone, we still allowed stuff to be posted, but ask you to be mindful of the other artists when doing it. It's been working well so far if people do it (which isn't always the case) and there was no traffic lose after implementing it at all. It just reduced the spike moments when there was a sudden influx of additional pictures because 1 person decided to drop his image collection.

That and people get annoyed if they either see a manga hogging the whole first 2 pages or their blacklist making the first couple of pages empty (and furry is one of the tags commonly blacklisted as well). I can assure you, the Hub would be losing its shit if I went ahead and posted 3 Pages worth of scat hypno pics at the same time.

Back when we decided on this, we had a thread open for many ... many weeks to get input from all sides and at least half of the people were seeing it as a problem or annoyance. If you missed out back then - we will probably have a pass over that guideline again at a later date to see if it needs adjustment into a certain direction.
