So how about those Pop Vinyls?
Personally managed to keep it to as much of a minimum as possible, currently only having Captain Phasma, X-Force Deadpool, Thumbs up Deadpool (a gift), Cell, Venom, X-Force Wolverine (if you couldn't tell, I fucking loved Uncanny X-Force), GIR, Vinyl and Trixie. (Yes, before you ask, I have the Lyra. And the sparkly Lyra.) They take up a small corner of my bookshelf, and there's a mingled feeling of pride, shame, and hunger for more. But I hold off. Maybe not for Protoman. Or that Foxy that is almost certainly going to happen. Or like, the other 100 I want.

Point is, they're damn popular, and I was wondering what you guys thought of them.

Go to your local store for films, music, games, shirts, posters and shit. You'll find them. Sadly, there be no catgirls. But who knows, they're doing Mega Man, so they could do Felicia if they wanted.

I've seen these. And there were catgirls.

Anyway, will never buy this. It's more pointless than button, that you at least can stab into bag/coat/ect

I cannot find these cat girls of which you speak. On one hand, I'm sad. On the other, my money thanks you.

I never cared for most of them to be honest, the whole "Eyes far apart chibi" thing really puts me off 90% of them. The ones based on non-human characters are better for that I find. The BB-8 one for example.

I have a few friends who love them, but never saw the appeal of them over any other type of figurine/statue product. I only own one because it was a present from a good friend of mine, and it looks less awkward than the rest of the line up. (Jim Raynor from Starcraft)

I don't particularly care for when you take a character that's supposed to look badass and then make a chibi-style caricature of that character. There's a huge collection of superhero/badass-video-game-protagonist Pops out there - and I like almost none of them. Only exception is Deadpool because for him it's in-character to appear that way for single-panel gags.

The small percentage of characters where it works, I like. But all too often, it just doesn't.

I got a couple of them from my LootCrate subscriptions. Doc Brown, Han Solo, SSJ Goku and Tracer. Not really interested in buying more, and besides, my shelves are full of Anime figures anyway... TT_TT

Why is it so hard to stop!?

I dislike the eyes the most, a ton of the characters in the pops lineup have very distinct eyes that lend themselves to the character. And making all of them little black soulless dots really makes me sad.

Nendoroid do it much more for me, yes they cost more, but there also more expressive and you can mix and match making some pretty funny things

I agree with this. At least partially because Nendoroid tend to have a better selection of characters as well - like I said, there's way too many superhero Pop Vinyl figures, and none of them really work for me. At least with Nendoroid the character was usually cute to start with.
