If you could chose between being a master of Hamon and having a Stand along with the Martial arts mastery or being a Jedi/Sith, Which would chose?

I'd have to go with Hamon, because there is no bullshit of light or dark trying to mess with my mind, Just awesome super powers. Plus I'm pretty sure that Hamon just makes you far more fabulous.

Hmm, tough choice. If it was in the JJBA Universe, I'd have to go with a Stand (otherwise I'd probably get destroyed by a stand-user some day). If it was irl, it'd be a lot harder to choose; Hamon has a lot of benefits to it (increased longevity, rapid-healing, manipulation of objects, etc.), while a Stand would be an overpowered trump card, since no one else could see it and it'd probably have a single strong power.

I guess if I had to pick, I'd say Hamon, but if I can go with a stand of my design/choice it'd be a lot harder to decide.

I'd go with Hamon. I just finished reading "Diamond is Unbreakable," so while I'll grant there are a ton of advantages to having a stand it all depends on the power you get. That one also decided to portray several stands that were also entirely negative to their owner. I mean I would not want to risk finding out I've got a lot of self loathing I don't notice because I ended up with a stand like Cheap Trick (Killed it's owner if someone saw their back and transfered to the one who saw) or get trapped somewhere because I ended up with Superfly (Forced whoever owned it to live in a specific transmission tower).

So it seems like most people would rather have Hamon then the Force, I wasn't expecting that.

Minor Spoilers for Part 7 follow. Nothing major or plot destroying so I don't think it needs a spoiler tag, however I'll add one if asked.

Part 7 takes place in an alternate universe with various characters and concepts that parallel the original universe's. A major part of Part 7 is "The Spin", a semi mystical force taught to the resident JoJo by an Italian man named Zeppili. Yup, it's the SBR version of Hamon.

Now the thing about The Spin is that once you have fully and completely mastered it, you gain a Stand. That has some pretty significant implications for the relationship between Hamon and Stands. Especially when you take into account the fact the Kanji used for Stands translates to "Ghostly Ripple", even using the same Kanji for "Ripple" that Hamon uses.

So basically, Stands are a metaphysical manifestation of the same willpower and fighting spirit that powers Hamon.

So my answer is Hamon, because it could eventually manifest a Stand.

Getting a stand like Whitesnake or Heaven's Door. 'Nuff said.

I'd go with the force. Seeing as how I don't intend on getting into any battles for the fate of the world the force would likely have more day to day use for me.

Plus I can just force throw my problems away.

Stands can literally do and be anything though. Part 4 has a Chef whose Stand gives his food the ability to cure anyone who eats it of any illness they have.

If it's legends grade force powers, that won't be enough to save you. Precognition and the ability to rebuild someone's beliefs on the cellular level is a potent combination.

How about the ability to remove cause and effect, or stopping time, or creating hyper viruses that literately melt anything within a certain range.

And some Hamon Master have boarder line Precognition, "Your next line is..."
