A video game series by Nintendo starring Mario, Nintendo's mascot, and his brother Luigi. The main series games are platformers, but it has many spinoffs covering a huge variety of genres. The games usually revolve around Mario attempting to rescue Princess Peach after she is kidnapped by Bowser.
With over 200 million copies sold, it is the most successful video game series of all time.
