P.S. I am not a fan of this anime. Just made this cause felt like it. I don't like the direction they plan for this and can't believe I am watching it. Guess I just watch to see what stupid ending they plan. Liked the games more. Again, not a huge fan. Just boredom. Enjoy darlings

The Despair anime is really good, I can't wait to see the end and I'm really like it so far. Junko is just amazing.
Also, I'm sorry but I'm afraid Yukizome wasn't the one Sakakura was in love with e_e'
Dunno if this is the part of the twist you meant XD
But aaaa, I shall make some hypno pic of this, too.

As much as I do like mind control, I'm not a big fan of the direction the despair arc is going. I much prefer how it was implied how each student in the 77 class that ended up working for Junko fell into despair on their own. Junko might set things up and manipulate them, but ultimately it was more implied to be their own fault. The ending of the second game was about them over coming their own despair and dealing with it to create their own future. Though now it seem the anime is strongly implying that all the horrible thing they done are not their fault anymore and they were simply brainwashed victims. Right now it really ruins some of the complexity of the characters and themes of Danganronpa by implying that one video is powerful enough to make people fall into despair so easily.

But srsly, you can't complain that the Worst, Most Despair Inducing Tragedy in History is "too brutal".

Well, I only feel that the despair arc is going to more... brutal ending. It is to be expected, but I feel it's a bit overdoing it.
I mean.. This is Dangan Ronpa.. People have really weird expectations, of course it was going to be brutal. How did you think it was going to turn out? The reserve class are going to mass kill themselves.
Loving the anime, but my problem is how the brainwashing is being handled overall, but I've come to peace with the reason being time constraints. Since I finished 2 I've thought a lot about how Junko managed to corrupt the entire class under her sway. I was hoping for more preying on individual insecurities, hopes and desires and personalising how she did it with her analytical abilities, say for example.. Preying on Akane's childhood issues. It also kind of takes away from 2 overall with the message of second chances and accepting your past, since they really didn't have a choice in their actions, it was against their will, so the idea of why exactly were the future foundation so against rehabilitation in the first place seems bizarre.
