I have some pics that I can contribute to the community however I never really uploaded to a booru site before, or really any other site. I mostly downloaded from hypnocollection, hypnochan, and a couple others. So I am kind of new to this. What I want to know is about tagging, could someone tell me if this is correct for a tag? Or did I mess it up completely?

You don't need to declare general tags, you can just type them. Also, tags are separated by spaces, not underscores. An underscore keeps everything around it part of the same tag. So in your example you'd just want to type

manip text short_hair vagina

for your general tags. However, I don't think "vagina" is currently in use as a general tag, so you might want to leave that out. Of course, you should read the <<hypnohub.net/wiki/show?title=help%3Atagging_guidelines|tagging guidelines>> before tagging anything.

Thanks for the help. I was able to get the picture to upload and the tags to work.

And things like, character, artist and copyright, you can use:
char:mawari_zenigata copy:my_bride_is_a_mermaid art:the_name_of_the_artist

Also, when you upload, can click in "related tags" (you need write some tags before click in that... of course), it help a lot ^^
