how do people feel about instead of "greyscale" can we iuse a broader tag like "monochrome" to include pieces like
hypnohub.net/post/show/11...msub-harem_outfit-jafar-m

also, how do people feel about including pieces like hypnohub.net/post/show/85...e_breasts-lingerie-little

which are mainly monochromatic, but have the slight amount 2nd color.... I know it's technically incorrect (the worst kind of incorrect), but

1) making it's own tag from being extremely niche tag set seems a waste

2) it has much more in common with monochromatic than multi-chromatic works

I second Grim's idea re: monochrome.

Why not use both greyscale and monochrome? We would use greyscale for black and white images, and monochrome for images with only one or two colors. We would also need greyscale to imply monochrome, since all greyscale images are, by definition, monochromatic.

Take a look at Danbooru's tag wiki pages for <<danbooru.donmai.us/wiki_pages/13/|monochrome>> and <<danbooru.donmai.us/wiki_pages/30897|greyscale>>, I think they have the right idea.

Note that we would have to change the current monochrome tag, which is used for monochrome the artist, to monochrome_(artist) or similar.

Seems like an unnecessary tag, though could be kept as a regular tag like "drow" rather than a character tag.

I added it as a character tag without really thinking about it, but it might be better as a regular tag.

Now that I think about it, if species tags aren't supposed to be character tags, shouldn't tags like mithra and miqo'te be regular tags too? There are plenty of others, but those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Or are generic species tags like orc, elf, and drow normal tags, but series-specific species tags like miqo'te and yordle character tags? I'm beginning to confuse myself, so I'll stop talking now.

This is why e621 has species tags

I made a comment on one of the recent Android 21 pics. I don't think we should keep the "Majin Android 21" tag. For starters it isn't an official name, and beyond that the form doesn't even have a name, just being called her "True" form.

So yeah. I think the tag should go.

I made my reply in the comments.

Making an official request that "artist_request" and "source_request" be mandatory tags; especially for manips.

Those tags should be on any images that lack correct artist tags or source links, yes. There's nothing we can really do outside of adding them wherever they're missing, though.

We have "angel", "angel girl" and "angel boy." IMO it should just be "angel."

Then there's the issue of "witch hat" vs "witch." This sort of relates to "police" vs "police uniform" which I brought up a while back (and I suppose also "police girl"), as far as distinguishing or differentiating between outfit vs profession. Do we really need both...?

Angel boy and angel girl are consistent with our other tags like cat boy/cat girl and demon boy/demon girl. Angel is the unneeded one. Witch could probably be done away with at this point and replaced with witch hat or witch costume. Police uniform should be the only police tags. All others are unneeded.

Can we change/alias wink to one_eye_closed? Pretty much every image I've seen with the wink tag has simply been a character with one of their eyes closed, as opposed to actually winking.

I second aliasing it. The only alternatives would be to make them mutually exclusive or to have wink implicate one_eye_closed... but differentiating them is really subjective and can even have different standards based on what part of the world you're in. It's better to get rid of "wink" entirely.
