It's a tag that's used on other boorus as well. It's for images of girls having their hymen broken (indicated by blood coming out of their vagina during or after sex). Basically, it's a defloration tag.

Gotcha.

Making an official request that "artist_request" and "source_request" be mandatory tags; especially for manips.

I agree

Angel boy and angel girl are consistent with our other tags like cat boy/cat girl and demon boy/demon girl. Angel is the unneeded one. Witch could probably be done away with at this point and replaced with witch hat or witch costume. Police uniform should be the only police tags. All others are unneeded.

while I basically agree, the non gendered form [and of all creatures] could still be useful for androgynous

although I inevitably put both the gendered form and the neutral one, trying to include everything

I've tried tagging images like the above as 'femdom' in addition to the already included 'femsub' because it could be either/or, depending on the subjective preference of the viewer. however, it seems like the femdom tag gets removed from many of these types of solo, female_only images. is there a reason for this?

It seems to have worked for me. No idea what was happening on your end.

It's cause the original manipper removed it. Try not to add tags that can be subjective. Artist/manipper has more final say on the matter in most cases.

the manipper's personal preference takes precedence over the convenience of the site's users? people like me will have a more difficult time finding images of that type as a result of this policy. I don't see how the inclusion of a tag is hindering anyone else's experience, but leaving the tag out does

You say the "manipper's personal preference", but you earlier also said "depending on the subjective preference of the viewer."

So yes, it does hinder other people's experiences. Because if any users tag posts however they see fit on a subjective level, it absolutely does make searches for other users much more difficult, as users will have to wade through a lot of results that arguably don't fit.

As an example:
In this <<hypnohub.net/post/show/59...-deuce-drool-femsub-high_|image>>, the girl is staring at the viewer, has spiral eyes, is smiling, and her breasts are pressed together. Seeing as how the original post you brought into question has similar elements to this one, I could look at it and subjectively conclude that the blonde girl on the desk is a dom. However, the image has a separate story to go with it, and the girl in the story is portrayed as a sub. If I had never read the separate story, what's stopping me from tagging it as such? And the same could therefore be said with many other posts out there.

We can say all we want that it's the manipper's or artist's "personal preference", but at some point, a line needs to be drawn for tagging things based on their intention, rather than mere interpretation.

*I don't exactly like crediting manippers as "creators" like they're on the same level as that of original artists, though in this specific case, I will use that term to refer to them.

right, the manipper's preference in the example I posted is that it should be tagged femsub, and I'm not arguing for removing that, just to add the femdom tag as well, which doesn't make anyone's browsing experience more difficult, only easier for some people

I think it should be handled on a case-by-base basis, not strictly based on the whim of the manipper. the example you bring up clearly has context that makes it femsub, while the image I pointed out does not, it could go either way

Well, I've given my input for the most part, as I'm unsure where to go from here. I'd honestly either have the other mods weigh in, or have Henry have the ultimate say on the matter.

I feel artist intent is definitely important when it comes to sub/dom tags. If the artist meant for it to be subjective, then using both tags is fine. If they specifically say that it's sub, it's sub. The point of tags is to strive for accuracy and objectivity. We can't start tagging based on everyone's headcanons.

That being said, I've noticed how a number of images have had <<hypnohub.net/history?sear...ser%3Abob8boy8&page=2|"femdom" added to it>>, and many of those posts had the tag removed by the manipper. At this point, I ask to please not tag based on interpretation anymore, and the same would go for any other users as well. This reminds me of a dispute I had in the past over the tag "sexuality change" being used, mainly in images of characters fucking one-another that canonically were not gay, bi, lesbian, or pansexual. It may seem like not a big deal to include the tag for certain images, but even on a case-by-case basis, the tag was being applied to posts where "sexuality change" was very much not meant to be the emphasis, unlike other posts where it was the emphasis of it.

And in regards to your earlier comment/concern:

Just add posts + images to your favorites. Makes it easy for you to go back to the specific posts you're looking for.

alright, but the tagging guidelines may need to be updated to reflect this policy

"Dom/Sub
Please use femdom for any pic with a female in control, and femsub for any pic with a female being controlled. Use the same logic with maledom and malesub. If a character is a futanari, then add the futasub or futadom tags as necessary, as futanari are considered their own gender for the sake of tagging. Please do not guess the gender of the sub or dom if there are no clear indicators."

it doesn't mention anything about interpretation or manipper's preference, which is why I felt free to add those tags

That is because interpretation is rarely an issue. As Mindwipe said, "If the artist meant for it to be subjective, then using both tags is fine." In most cases though, including this one, posts by manippers and artists do not come down to just "personal preference." To prefer is to like or favor something over that of other choices/options, and personal refers to that of the individual. This doesn't come down to the manipper or creator "liking" femsub more than femdom; instead, it is their intention for the image to be depicted as "femsub", not femdom. Rules are not going to be changed or updated, as this really should no longer be up for further debate.
