Heyo Hub!

So, I've finally decided to take the plunge and draw my pirate OC, Arilleten! I've mention her on a couple forums, but now you all have a visual for her!

I'm going to spoiler this, but here's some more info on her here if you're interested:

Arilleten is 'captain' of the Mesmisti (her ship). I put captain in quotation marks due to her utter incompetence (shh, don't tell her I said that!)

So, what treasure is our little pirate lassie seeking, you may ask?

Well, once upon a time in a magical land called the slums, our lovely lady stumbled across a map, created by the village's most talented homeless drunk. On it, was a map of the Earth, with the words 'Hypno-Scepter' crawled across it in what we all hope was white ink.

Hypnosis! What one couldn't do for oneself with such a power?

So, with thoughts of power, glory, and both kinds of booty instilled in her red-head, off she was!

After bartering a pint of ale in exchange for a book on hypnosis (our author being the same, wonderful town drunk, who had recently extended his talents into literature), she was off!

But wait... our fiesty, fiery friend lacked a ship!

Now, this was a truly a conundrum! At first Arilleten considered seeing if her favourite drunk also possessed ship-building talents. But, after he nailed his finger to a plank of wood, she decided he probably was not the best option.

Aha, but our girl does not give up that easily! That night, she went to hypnotize some out-of-town folks out of their.. I mean, her, boat

However, due to the book listing 'gobble like a chicken' as a method for hypnosis, this attempt was... interesting. Turns out "gobble gobble gimme your boat!" is not the most effective confusion induction. Oh well. Still deserves a participation award!

And lucky for her, the ship's crew seemed to think that too! They backed away slowly, clearly deeply entranced by the mythic gobble, before making a made dash off the ship. Well, all except for three, who couldn't understand why everyone was running from "the sexy chicken lady".

This was a hypnotic victory! (Well, for Arilleten anyways). And these 'hypnotized thralls' remaining were her new crew!

In reality, nobody was hypnotized. But, nobody wanted to burst our gal's bubble. Annnd, as long as she stopped at the trading ports they were heading to, nobody wanted to kick out Sexy Chicken Lady.

So off our four went, on their magical misadventures for the Hypno-Scepter! Of course, along the way, Arilleten and her crew bump into everything from sirens to mermaids to... more sirens!

Unbeknowst to our poor two fellows (and the one who what resided in their pants was a mystery), their captain seemed to improve at hypnosis every time she had an, ahem, incounter, with a mesmerizing mermaid, or seductive siren. Soon, perhaps, they would truly be her underlings.

Of course, to her, it felt like nothing had changed! Her slaves were just slaves, as usual! What did puzzle her though was no matter how aroused the gender mystery of the crew got, somehow, some inconvient censorship ALWAYS covered whatever was hiding under those sailor's pants.

And, after many hard, long nights of sailing, of having sexy times with sirens and goo girls... I, mean more sailing! The Hypno-Scepter was at long last located! You could most definitely see that the driftwood had a spiral if you stood on your head, clucked your tongue three times, and yodelled (aka Arilleten's morning excersize). At long last, her quest was complete! The world was hers!

Soon, rumours of the red-headed hypnotist running around with a rotten piece of wood spread like wildfire!

(In reality, her success was merely due to the hypnosis skills she learnt along the way but hush.... let her believe.)

Anyways, in this image, either somebody just figured out spiral eyes, or is about to become a siren slut for the night. Whichever it may be, I assure you, it will not be boring!

She’s definitely an awesome pirate gal.

I especially love the phrase ‘mythic gobble’.
