DNP List?
Just wondering if there's a DNP (Do Not Post) list for this site that artists can add their names to or whether there's one to be developed? It's something a lot of Gallery Sites on the internet have.

To my knowledge, the only artist who's asked that their work not be posted is Rosvo.

You're a Mod or Admin? Do you know if those requests are respected?

The fact that there isn't a single rosvo pic on hypnohub should be an indicator that we respect his request. Back on the booru, Rosvo apparently didn't take too kindly to his posts being posted on another site by other users without his permission and requested that all his pics be removed. Kinda sucks but, It's his art and we gotta respect that.

I'm not a mod, no. But the DNP list is here: hypnohub.net/wiki/show?title=help%3Arules_and_policies

Well We're personally requesting to be added to that list as well as "Kit (DireKit)," honestly We don't care for this Community at all and it's not something We want to contribute to any further. If We post our art elsewhere, it'll either be uploaded for our friends or for personal use. We don't want it on this site any longer, though.

Nobody looks at a DNP list before they post so its pretty much useless besides the fact it gives a false sense of security for the artist.

well, it works for rosvo, I don't really see why it wouldn't work for DireKit. Actually, considering how long it's been, I'm surprised we haven't run into anyone accidentally posting one of Rosvo's pics on here.

We always read DNP lists. We also always read the rules. The DNP lists are a part of the rules.

i have to disagree, even if someone does post a DNP then the mods usually handle it and will most likely give the poster a warning, and s/he'd probably be more weary for next time.
plus if they persist bans are always an option.

It's a shame that you don't wish to be a part of the site any more since original artists are great to have around but it's understandable.

We can't support a Community that says "We support new Artists" in one breath, then in the next condemns an Artists work and calls it abominable etc.

In spite of claims of being a 'welcoming Community,' this Community also seems to display the same tendency for turning on Contributors or Artists in an act of contradiction and hypocrisy that many others have (and do).

This is what We've observed recently and We won't be a part of that. New Artists should be encouraged to improve, not merely given non-conducive and virulent comments such as

I'm going to have to stop your right there an point out all the flaws you are making

First off the drawing in question had no artist, therefore any criticisms would have gone to waste. I even searched for an artist myself and found nothing.

Second the image has no obvious relation to you or anyone in the hub. If it had been drawn by someone here or an active artist people would be more constructive about criticisms. I dare you to find an original work done by a hub member or active artist where people are indiscriminately bashing it. The artist behind "that" is no where to be seen and the drawing itself is awful with no obvious effort put in, its a bad drawing, argue what you want but the majority spoke.

Also you say you don't want your art posted here so I went onto your profile to see what work you might have uploaded. Whether or not you deleted most of them is irrelevant but I saw your own comment on your own image saying "lol guess it was as poorly received as We figured it would be. Oh well." There was no other comments except your own on the image so I don't know where you are getting this "poorly received" idea from unless you got PMs telling you they hate it.

The problem here is you are overly sensitive and have a white knight complex. Getting offended when people bash a bad drawing with an anonymous artist is not only illogical but stupid. It's almost as bad as the extreme social justice bloggers on tumblr. I don't think the community is the one with the problem here.

First of all, let's not fight. Second, I have a bit to get through here, so I'll start at the top.

Takedown requests are always respected.

Well, if that's your choice, we will respect it, but I think you're making a rather hasty and overly-judgmental decision.

It's still better to have one so when people ask why a Rosvo pic was deleted, we can point at it and say "because this". Besides, even if realistically no one reads them, it's still part of the rules and should be written down somewhere.

That's just because you aren't quick enough to see them. I've deleted several Rosvo pics since his takedown request.

Now, DireKit, about what you said, I think you've got the wrong idea. We actually do help out artists whenever they ask for it. Just look at some of the threads in the forums for proof of that. We obviously want artists to improve, because that means better art for all of us. In some cases, we've even deleted pics as part of QC while giving tips on how to improve it. But, at the end of the day, we're just a site that shares a common fetish and we come here to discuss it and satisfy ourselves to pics. We're happy to help artists when we can, but all we really want are great pics.

This is still the internet, and people still have opinions, and some of them will be harsh. And it's a lot easier to be harsh when, as Zko pointed out, the artist is nowhere to be found. That said, we can still be harsh even when the artist is around, though we will always try to word it more as criticism in that case. Sharing anything creative puts you at risk for receiving those sort of comments. Everyone's a critic, as they say. It's just the reality of art. The more people who see it, the more likely it is that some of them will hate it. If you want to completely avoid it, the only option is to not make it public.
