Crafting Mind Control Scenes
Anyone else do this? Take a show or movie you like, and try to craft a believable hypnosis or mind control scenario?

Because the whole time I was watching the Lego Movie, I was wondering when we'd get a Trishbot pic of Wildstyle being brainwashed by "Everything is Awesome," on headphones, looping infinitely.

I;m pretty sure everyone's done that on this site multiple times by now.

Obvious, in hindsight.

I should've phrased it like a challenge. "Craft a MC scenario for your favorite show/movie."

Mind control fan-fiction, largely with an erotic slant, is the basic sum of my entire DeviantArt account. It started when i would see hypno-pics on DA and think that there had to be a story behind some of the images i was seeing, and blossomed from there.

So... yeah. All the time.

What? No, never do that. ._. Absolutely never.

Was kind of hoping this thread would be about sharing strategies on crafting effective MC scenes, because I have trouble with that when I'm trying to write short stories/manips

Eh, we might as well make it that. My original half-baked idea is going nowhere.

My big advice is this: remember, the journey IS the destination, and context is everything. GOOD hypno scenes should feel seductive, with a twinge of danger. BAD hypno scenes are all about control with no real emphasis on the hypnosis behind them. You don't get enough of the sub's point of view, whether they feel blissful or confused or simply blank.

I've always wanted to see a scene in the Haruhi Suzumiya franchise where her belief in hypnosis makes it true. And then someone hypnotizes her and when she believes something it becomes true for she is God.

Let's get a 'like' system. You deserve ten. I've also wanted that exact thing. One who controls Haruhi controls the world!

Personally I like it when the story has some length to it. It should be as long as it needs to be and should avoid being repetitive. I can't say how tiring it is to see so many manips consist of repetitive monologues on how person A is now person B's slave forever and ever.

As finerhats said, a good scene should be seductive. Let that show through the induction method, the person's reaction to it and the language. Don't rush it but don't let it drag on either.

I'll admit that I don't have any experience whatsoever with writing manips so I can only go with what I like. Hopefully I was able to help somewhat.

My contribution: don't overanalyze your own text. Once you have an idea for a text, write an outline, and don't worry if it doesn't quite hold water, you can go it over to plug the leaks later. Don't be an idiot like me and mull over every single paragraph, sentence and word to convey everything. This is the MC fetishist community, it's literally powered by imagination, so being too specific can hamper other people's enjoyment.

a good approach is to create the effect you're looking for in yourself, just keep writing till you get there. idk how these manip artists do it, but it might be a good idea to write a whole bunch and only take a small amount to use with an image.

as for imagination yeah i'm always thinking about stuff like this, but i don't necessarily use characters i've already seen i generally make up new ones or imagine myself and people i have met in person lol.

Pretty much. You've got to find it arousing yourself, or others won't really be able to. Write the eroticism as much as you are able to.
