I saw a live fan performance of it in a big german anime convention last year. They weren't exactly accurate, but it was really well done and I kind of liked it. There was no sign of yaoi in the performance. Because they covered part of german history, with the reunification of East and West germany, it was kind of touching, I may have even shed a tear or two.
