I'm almost glad I don't understand code now heh.
The only issue is that this code would only work once in a real computer, and there's no reason to use Scanner if you don't read input from it. I assume some code was omitted, as wake() and drop() are undefined in the log, but without a loop of some sort the code for adding to the trance counter, printing it, and resetting it at midnight would only run once, and wouldn't ever reset the counter if it wasn't midnight at the time of execution.
It should probably be something more akin to
[scanner initialization]
while(scanner.hasNext())
{
[code goes here]
}
Which would constantly read input and do something with it, though Anon seems to be using the chat as an interpreter, allowing him to call functions and methods at any time.
Since the chat (or rather, obliviondoll) appears to be an interpreter, it would probably be more efficient to have trance count implemented as an object variable (with obliviondoll as the object) and have wake()/drop() modify it each time they're called. There would probably still need to be a loop that constantly checks if it's midnight or not, though.
Of course, none of this actually matters because humans are more flexible than computers and obliviondoll obviously understood what Anon was attempting to do.
