I won't take up too much of your time. I'll probably delete this thread, myself within a week or so. I just wanted to let people know that I will no longer be making manips anymore. I say this to apologies to those who I might have made promises to. The reason I'm quitting is sort of petty and hardly worth mentioning. It has something to do with a loss of passion and no apparent interest from others. That and the manip that I was working on was damaged in a reboot, which just frustrating.

I just think that it's for the best, in the long run. Thank you to everyone that supported me and sorry for wasting anyone's time.

Sorry to hear about your frustration, Lilly. I hope you don't give up permanently though. I know how hard it can be to feel unappreciated. When I posted more often on the collective I recall constantly having to debate the age of fictional characters because someone kept reporting everything I posted as under aged regardless of if the character is or is not underaged or even has a canonical age. (wasn't even loli, they would debate that the character 'looks' like they could be 17)

I eventually pretty much stopped posting manips except once a blue moon because it wasn't worth the stress and the mods did not really care. Hell they even demanded proof that *I* wasn't under aged at one point.

If it helps though, I find its easiest to feel motivated if you do something for the love of doing it, rather than for approval from others. And especially don't compare your success/popularity to others. That can be a really nasty trap to fall into because it basically boils down to jealousy.

Thanks Changer. You make a very good point. I probably won't manip again but those are words to live by. I still love manips, all the same, and I want there to be more for them on sites like this one. I hope that one day, far off, I can help organize something to show my appreciation.

After think about it for some time, I've decided that I'll still take requests if they catch my interest but beyond that I won't manip anymore. ... .... I mean it.
