She was part of Rose’s Army back in the day and once everything calmed down she went exploring the Earth. Over time she learned that she could control organic matter much like Rose can… except instead of plants she can control humans against their will. However, the way she explains it is, Morganite puts one of her crystal shards into a human andthe human gains the strength and endurance of gems. So Morganite sees this as a way to give humans an edge in case Homeworld tries to come back. She did this to learn more about humans and their bodies. And eventually went back to tell Rose about it.

Only, Rose is no longer there.

Only this man called Steven.

And the gem she hates the most is still alive.

And Morganite blames Pearl for what happend to Rose.

And decides to take her revenge by take Connie. And places a crystal shard inside her.

Making her the perfect Rose Knight.
