Exluding the URL from avast didn't do anything for me as I still get "No data recieved". Anyone knows what to do?

Get a virus scanner that doesn't suck major balls or disable avast shield, i doubt you wanted to hear that though.

Just get MSE; it isn't a load of shit and Microsoft already knows everything about you anyways.

Even if you trust those reports you should still not be using Avast as it gets dicked on by Kaspersky Trend etc. But if you think about it, aren't ranking high in those reports the ONLY way AV companies can make money? Maybe it's a little possible that the ones selling a product are paying? Last I checked (which was a while back) for actual hacking competitions MSE usually held much longer than those rankings would indicate.

+9001.

I usually check comparatives of some AVs (I do too on VMs), I noticed that in the "meh" side of AVs, Avast! was one of them. Usually I used Antivir, but it just protected me from nothing after some tests. AVG was another bloatware for me, Avast! being the worst bloatware product with frequent false-positives. But it is my personnal opinion of them, of course.

As wanting to be as safe as possible on the internet while limiting to the maximum the usage of processor/ram is one of my priorities, I always do this combo:
MSE (included with every PC since Win7, with Windows Defender if I remember well, but is not activated by default) or Kaspersky if you have the money for regular licences + Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Firefox|Chrome + NoScript (advanced users only) + adblock+, and I'm protected for a good portion of the websites in the internet.

But let's hope that false-positive won't come up again soon, really.

Anyway, just rto round this up - even adding this site to my exclusions didn't work.Last night, however, I disabled my shields for 10 mins, camehere, then re-enabled them. Upon reloading, I can now access gthe site, so for whatever reason, i think my shields just decided to blacklist the place for days because it bumped into one fluke, but it's working now. :/

Weird.

avast! just released a new program version today! Maybe that fixed the false-positive
