Yup, God Eaters need regular injections of the P53 Bias factor so the oracle cells in their weapons don't devour them. These are administered through the armlets which are literally and permanently fused onto their wrists during the final phase of aptitude testing.

Apologies for the delay. She's a Granbull, in the show that's her equivalent to Jessie's Arbok. As to why she's a Pokemon and not a trusted Grunt like Jessie (in my head canon anyway) will be revealed soon enough.

I can appreciate your point, but you have to consider Francesca's point of view. Could she really trust anyone, let alone 'Team' members, without hypnotizing them to be loyal first? The upside is that Jessie, along with Domino is one of the girl's Francesca trusts to be of use to her outside of being a horny pokegirl. Hence, she gets to keep her mind and is rewarded plentifully for succes, the only cost being a little free will.
