I can just see the gradients on my screen, too. And I've confirmed them via GIMP.
I'd try to choose gradient colors with a little more contrast next time, though. You always want to ensure that the gradient is fairly obvious at 100% zoom.
Still trying out some things other than standard spiral eyes, tried "empty eyes" for the first time. I think Anya turned out just fine. I had some trouble with the eye colors for Minami but I think she turned out okay, too.
One thing I remember from the Ryo/Ai post I did a while back was that it's bad to be unclear about how or why the hypnosis is happening, but I also put up something Touhou recently and that had too much going on. So I went with something basic. As usual, any feedback is appreciated.

But the obvious question is, did you make the story for the artist and shared it with us, or did you cooperate with him to make something for the board, because you could have just as easily explained the parts he didn't understand to him while making a more enjoyable story for everyone.
You don't need to write another Game of Thrones, but having unexpected things happen will certainly make it a more enjoyable read.

Those aren't technically solid-color eyes - at least on my monitor there is a subtle gradient there.
Yeah, the gradient's there, but for Minami it's hard to see, which makes me sad. Fine for Anya though.
