Actually, Pendleton Ward doesn't have much involvement with Bravest Warriors. The original concept was pitched by Ward, and he did the pilot as well, but he handed over the reins when it was picked up for the web series. He vouched for Breehn Burns as the new showrunner (Ward and Burns were actually roommates in college, iirc, and are good friends). Burns was the showrunner for the first two seasons—the third and current season is Tom King, and I've been enjoying the episodes so far (it's frustrating to have to wait, though, and I second Black--Wave's comment that it's easier to get hooked when you watch a season straight through as something of a movie).
Burns is still on board for scripting, though, at least. ^^
