Besides editing quiet a few "inappropriate" cards which okay i'm fine with that, or removing a few scenes that were a little intense, we also had INVISIBLE GUNS!. not removing the scene with a gun, but just editing out the gun. "FEAR ME PEGASUS FOR I AM POINTING AT YOUR HEAD MEANINGLESSLY!" not to mention there were instances of changed dialogue that completely changed important plot points. Like in the episode where kiaba threatened to throw himself off a building if he lost, in the English dub yu-gi-oh was freaked out because he lost a card game, but in the original he was scared because yami almost let kiaba die. Or in the beginning of duelist kingdom where yugi figured out something is up with the pharoh since he was entering despite the betting rule, which normally yami cares too much about his cards to bet them. where in the dub it's assumed yugi knows what happened at the museum with ishizu. Sorry if i rambled on a bit, but watching the sub is like a completely different show in some episodes.

So i set my alarm and got up at like 6am to watch it, and i was... very disappointed. And that's when i learned 4kids is the bane of all anime lovers.
Want to know the funniest thing? 4Kids didn't use to be that bad. Pokemon and Yugioh were decent dubs when they first started, and weren't absurdly edited or watered down. They were done sort of campy and obviously aimed at kids in the U.S., Canada, and other Western markets, but you could legitimately enjoy the silliness and ridiculousness in their dubs. It wasn't until 2003-04 that the company started getting bad. You saw that with the One Piece dub they did, and it got a lot worse from there.
Still pissed about that botched Tokyo Mew Mew dub...

The dialect thing sounds like something that would come through.practice, so keep up the good work.
I also imagine a little bit of research would help as well. I'd think Tenchi Muyo would be a good case study, but tbh I think any excuse to dive into some Tenchi Muyo is a good one. ^w^
Yeah I probably lack the slang side of the english language, because I always say "I am" "You are" and so on when I talk. I did a couple of more fitting translations for a couple of them, but it is probably still like that for most of them.

I have to give one criticism, HME. Contractions. Use them. Always. No average English speaker, especially not a young person, would talk like "You are awake." They'll pretty much always say "you're."

I'm always surprised by the amount of MC content we HAVEN'T covered on this site yet, as evidenced by the 1s up there in the copyright and character tags. Still much work to be done~

BTW I think the artist is *thinking* about opening commissions soon but not confirmed either way yet. They don't normally do hypnosis but probably would do a couple of hypno pics if you asked them for it. Look through their archives at the way they draw eyes and it'd probably be worth trying if you think the price is right.

I dunno, probably not? It's not exactly a big chair, so I don't think it would fit 2. I dunno tho, some acrobatic action might spice it up a bit.
