[Srpg Studio Game] Puppet Master v1.12
What is this?
This is a hypno game made in SRPG Studio. For those unaware, SRPG Studio is used to make turn-based fire emblem-esque games.

Everything is done using what's already available in SRPG Studio, and images used from TOP Character Creator. Unfortunately that means no custom event CGs, because I cannot draw for crap.

What is the game about?
You're a no good bandit, and you find a book to hypnotize girls. And so you hypnotize girls to do things.

Other comments:
Hello everyone, Cradily here and is back to their usual shenanigans!

If anyone recalls I made a short game in the past (Pokemon Hypno Boat) using RPG Maker and Pokemon Essentials. Well I managed to snag SRPG Studio for cheap, so it was time to screw around with game making once again.

The game is finally complete, and honestly it's taken way longer than I initially anticipated.

As always, if you encounter any bugs or have any questions, comments, or critiques feel free to ask in this thread and I'll eventually take a look at it.

And finally, a special thanks to anonlv000 for helping me test the game!

unfortunately got a virus warning trying to download it, good to see another game from you though, hypno boat was pretty good!

That's weird, I literally essentially just used SRPG's 'publish game' option, and I downloaded it once just to make sure it was working properly. Was it just a warning like 'this file may contain viruses' or did an anti-virus actually trigger?

Alternatively if you or someone else knows of a way I can scan the file 'publicly' I can do that as well.

So I checked it out. I like the dynamic of the first girl and the player character, lol.
I also like that you're given a "cheat" item to make things easier.
Did notice that if you use the cheat weapon on the tower witch(?) on the first turn, it automatically goes to a new stage, so be warned on using it lol.

I do hope you either add a bit more... idk, variety?, spice? to some of the trance scenes? But for a demo it was good.

Tho, i'm of the personal opinion who doesn't really like this game engine. It's not a "you" thing, but any game made in this engine kinda dampens my entusiasm to play it because there's not a whole lot you can do with it.

it was weird actually, it let me download it just fine before cancelling the download without warning and telling me my computer was at risk because of it, just tried redownloading it though and it seems to be working fine, so it might have just been my computer acting buggy

Thanks! And yup, any attack against her is supposed to trigger the 'cutscene' and you will be moved to the next map. There will be more hypno scenes with the characters, but I will take a look at the initial ones now and try to change them a bit too.

For the 'this engine' comment, do you mean comparing it to other ones like RPG Maker? If you want to be able to run around a town and do stuff I can try to simulate that as a 'quest' map that you can always go back to.

Ooh that's good, at least that means there's nothing broken =P

That statment is more of a gripe that i have with the engine as a whole. A lot of people have used it and A LOT more have used it in a... clunky manner. Not saying your game was, just that i don't have good memories of games that used it over something like RPGmaker.

I like these mind control srpg style games.

I've seen a few srpg mind control games around. I really like the genre. If only there was controller support. It's kind of hard for me to click tiles and buttons accurately with my left hand on the mouse.

Slavers Quest and Forbidden Book are two srpg games that have English language. Aldo Senki and Purple Eyes are two that only have Japanese language. I've been playing with a machine translator for those.

They all use a character creation tool from dlsite here.

I'm not sure which specific volume they use.

Oh don't hold back and let me know if you thought anything was clunky, I made this thread to look for feedback afterall! However I will be sticking with SPRG Studio, because I do want to make a fire emblem-esque game.

Hello fellow srpg enthusiast! Slavers Quest and Forbidden Book were what inspired me to try and make a game of my own. I've tried Aldo but never heard of Purple Eyes, will give that a go some time.

Also thanks for the link! Looks like I'll probably have to buy a couple of the packs to get everything I want, thankfully it's not too expensive.

Aaanyway, I've updated the first post with the link to the 'official' demo! If you feel anything should be changed or could be improved, throw it here!

What's the difference between this demo and the first?

The first was more of a proof-of-concept more than anything. The demo updates adds about 5 new 'stages' and includes images for the characters I got from the character creator. Some text from the old stages are changed, and I've made the game slightly easier.

I've added some screenshots to the opening post!

Actually that happens because srpg software is not recognized by the antivirus so it mark it as a virus or an unknow app.

I think the demo is in a much better spot than the first version you put out. I noticed some of the scenes felt more fleshed out which is great. Also enjoyed the intermission areas/exploring the city.

Overall great improvement all around. Looking forward to another demo or just the final game!

Really great demo! My only nitpick is that I wasn't really into the part that had NTR (even though it was temporary), but that's just a personal preference of course. Also, the "let's have fun" options were all great! Looking forward to future updates, awesome stuff!
