Hypnosis Themed Yugioh Decks
I got the idea for a hypnosis themed Yugioh Deck yesterday and ended up creating this using the Yugioh fandom Wiki and an old card catalogue book I had.
The fandom wiki was very helpful, having a list of female monsters I could pick cards from.

This deck is themed around female monsters than are Spellcasters or Plants. All of them are Dark, Light, or Earth Attributes.
I designed this deck to be able to counter itself in mirror matches. Some of the Spell Cards are there to counter the other spell cards and free the minds of your monsters.
For more fun with the deck, I've designed some homebrew type rules to alter some of the spells.

There's going to be two versions of this deck coming up, one that is designs for the Advanced Format and another for the Traditional Format. This only changes two Spell cards.

The only difference between the Advanced and Traditional decks are Giant Trunade and Heavy Storm being Forbidden in Advanced and only Limited in Traditional.
The Advanced deck gets an extra De-Spell and Mystical Space Typhoon to replace those two cards.

Optional Homebrew Rules (Spellcaster+Plant Hypnosis Deck)

I've made a few rules to spice up this deck, these alter the effects of 5 Spell Cards.


1. Treat Change of Heart as an equip card allowing you to control the equipped monster. Keep control of that monster until this card is destroyed.

2. Treat Mesmeric Control as an equip card allowing you to control the equipped monster. Equipped monster is set to Defense Position, if the monster is changed to Attack Position, this card is destroyed. Can't be equiped to a face down card.
This rule is why I include position changing cards, they're a counter for this altered card.

3. If you use Enemy Controller to gain control of the opponent's monster, treat Enemy Controller as an equip card. Keep control of that monster until this card is destroyed.

4. Brain Control is treated like an equip card. You can pay 100 Life Points to your opponent during your opponent's Standby Phase to keep control of the monster. If you decide not to pay, destroy this card.

5. Eye of Illusion's second effect has it treated like an equip card. Keep control of that monster until after the equipped monster attacks during one of your battle phases. After it attacks, destroy this card and return the monster.

I did have some alternate cards in mind in earlier versions of the deck.

Cards like Mystical Elf and Mystical Sheep #2. First was cut for Magician's Valkyria. Second was cut due to it not fitting the overall theme, I had a homebrew rules intended for this normal monster.

I don't know what the Yu-gi-oh anime is doing nowadays, but it'd be great if there were at least a few episodes featuring decks like these, preferably used against duelists with female monster decks.

I mean, imagine Tea or some character dueling a random hypnotist with a deck-build to match.

Honestly, if I made a similar deck centered around Harpie Ladies, I could call this a deck Mai might use. Half of the Trap Cards were used by her.
A single Harpie's Feather Duster could also be slotted into this deck. The card is only limited. Funny when a card that was originally designed to be worse than HFD is at 0 copies while HFD is at 1 copies.

I also dunno either about the anime, I last watched during GX and that was like around the half way point. The school getting sent into another world or something is the last plot point I recall.

I look at these XYZs, these Tuners, etc. and think... I bet this is how confused people who last played Pokemon during Gen 1 or 2 feel about modern day Pokemon.

Ended up making a Plant only deck. Quite a few female Plant monsters for this. This deck is an Earth and Water Plant deck designed for mirror matches, just like the last two.

The homebrew rules are the same as the last sets.

if you want a pure mind control deck, I suggest you to try graydle monsters: they're parasite monsters that equip themselves to monster that destroyed them to control them. Also snatch still is no longer forbidden. In addition to that, the attack guidance armor that can force an enemy monster to attack another enemy monster (ygoprodeck.com/card/attack-guidance-armor-13088) is finally TCG

Graydles, maybe a deck that'd fit them. So far I've had Spellcaster+Plant, Winged Beast/Harpie, Plant, and Spellcaster (Coming VERY soon.)

Snatch Steal, my homebrew rule gives Brain Control a similar effect, just not as costly LP. Also, notice that I use cards in Trad decks that are currently Forbidden.

Perhaps that Guidance Armor could have usage in a Machine/Tech based deck.

Spellcaster Hypnosis Deck
A deck with a Spellcaster female monsters theme. All of this deck's monsters are Light or Dark Attribute cards.
This deck uses Forbidden cards, making it illegal for the Advanced Format. This deck is legal for the Traditional Format.
This deck has been designed to be more magical than technological in design. It also has a male monster, but hey, he's a female monster in France.
There's some homebrew rules below for this deck below. Try using this deck in a mirror match, it's designed to be able to counter itself.
