I drew this while I was offline for over a week. Let's just say I wasn't in the best of headspaces at the time, so the parody might be a little on the nose....

I see myself in this picture and it hurts my soul. Funny though.

Nah, I was only poking fun this is great! A valid criticism too that I hope some don't take too personally.

Can't tell if criticism of people who do low-effort monologue manips in particular, or just jealous of writers in general.

Well... actually, It's sort of more a generic comment on trends I don't like but see over and over in certain parts of the hypno-art community... when you spend so much time looking at hypno art you tend to notice certain trends... and I sort of mish-mashed them all together.

Badly manipped spiral eyes on pics that clearly aren't SUPPOSED to be hypno-pics, walls of text that are near unreadable, the weird choice to change fonts for dialogue, the the use of Comic Sans for speech bubbles as well as shoddily designed speech bubbles with skewed text placement, and of course the story of a nondescript first person narrator who just breaks into the personal space of a female celebrity and hypnotizes her to be a sex slave, just because... and of course said female celebrity having no personality other than "ha ha you can't hypnotize me... now I am deeply hypnotized."

Jealousy? Um... well, of their much bigger audience, yes. I'll admit that.

Eep!
Welp I fear I'm totally guilty of all the above probably ^-^;
But you must believe me in that I only partake in such trends to ensure no one suffers with unfair punishment of having to view something I've drawn D:

If only I could draw the way I wanted, I'd be giving life to all sorts of fun scenarios

It wasn't meant as a personal attack on anyone, if that helps. Much less an attack on people who can't draw, ^_^*

But I will say that most of the problems I have would be pretty easy to avoid, and you don't need artistic talent for it. Like... it's not THAT hard to find a free font that isn't Comic Sans....

This is amazing xD I thought it was a legit manip at first. Is it bad that the thing that bothers me the most from all this is the skewed text placement on the speech bubble?

The skewed text in speech bubbles is one of my all time pet peeves, so it's not just you. It's like... it's not that hard to get proper balloon fornmatting! But even word balloon tutorials I see online just ignore this. They go into how to make word balloons, but the resulting balloons look terrible because the text is skewed and possibly Comic Sans. So of course I had to make my word balloon slike that here..
