Just a small test. Several varying sizes of text to see what is easy to read whilst still having room to see the image behind. Also exploring the tradeoff of image quality vs size (Only for posts on Hypnohub, full-size images would be uploaded somewhere else).

Any feedback is welcome! There may be a December premiere for MCTTR.

I think the 19pt for the title/name use and the 17pt for the actual dialogue is pretty good in my opinion, as it seems pretty balanced. It's not too small that i have to squint at it like for the 14/13pt combination, and I'm worried that with the 24/21pt combination, there might be too many dialogue boxes to fit a couple of sentences is.

I wonder, what will you do for certain dialogue changes, like will you highlight certain dialogue when they are in trances/out of trances? I remember that Kamen_Writer often has a habit of having the hypnotized person often "hear" their commands within their heads before repeating said commands in a robotic/trance-like state, and that the "inner voice" would always be a different font or something to highlight the difference.

I agree with averageguy17 ; 19pt/17pt looka the best here. Although I do wonder why you didn't try a 21pt/19pt

In retrospect, the way I tested different sizes was really dumb. Will be sure to test out 21/19pt size too and see if it works.

KWMC used RPGMaker and CM3D2 textboxes and their limitations for dialogue. I believe there weren’t many text effects you could use for them; instead he creatively used the Japanese language (e.g. specific uses of hiragana, katakana, kanji) to indicate things such as robotic/trance states.

Because i’m using an external program to display the dialogue, I have more freedom in terms of text effects, although I want to keep the text readable. Different fonts, colours, and sizes are possible.

You could follow the example of how the person who hard translated the game on the hub. Here's the pool: hypnohub.net/pool/show/2916

Or you could simply ask him about it...
