Hypno New Year, everyone! Please enjoy my first gifs of 2021. Here we have some clips from Defenders of the Earth episode 6, 'The Root of Evil'. The sinister Ming the Merciless has captured a scientist's daughter and brainwashed her into telling him the secret formula for some kind of chemical that turns people into plants. I'll be honest, I didn't really pay attention until the hypno started. But that is quite a blank stare we have here!

I loved this show as a kid. We all knew Flash Gordon, but it introduced a generation of kids to the Phantom.

That plant episode always stuck with me because Ming technically wins for a little bit.
