Fun fact riku was originally designed to be female. On both the 3Ds and 2.8 play station version of Dream drop distance as the pop up book of destiny islands opens the first paragraph mentions and i quote "and Riku, a 15 year old girl". I would need to check in case they've updated the text as one the pages that fly around next has the same paragraph but mentions Kairi as the girl instead of Riku, but to my knowledge they still haven't.
