I can see that. I was hoping to get more detail. How was she put into a trance and why did whoever entranced her decide to do so?

Well, the light novels are done, so it is possible to continue with the anime; even if they use a different studio.

It's been a while since I actually watched the episode but I believe her HxH Gear (weapon/armor???) released some gas that put her under? I'm probably remembering wrong but it looked like sparkles...

As for the why, I believe the female lead has some special weapon but it's unknown how she came into possession. Therefore she's using mind control to force her to remember. Like I said it's been a while but I believe that is the gist of it.
