Took me forever to figure out that you meant the font. Yeah, it's probably ill-chosen. Hard to find something that seems 'immersive' but is still readable.

Yes, "fantasy" fonts like that almost always have letters that are hard to read

This is actually just the lowercase Greek delta. The rest is standard Germanic calligraphy.
