Just came across these two piece and really wanted to do a manip! Hope I was able to do the artist justice :)

Dunno why, but your font choice reminds me of like an 80's magazine ad.

It's not necessarily a bad thing, as the text looks like it was always supposed to be part of the picture.

You know what, now that I look at it I absolutely get what you mean haha! I think it also has something to do with the artstyle being fairly reminiscent of 80s comics / pin-ups. I'm gonna file away this font for when I want to go for that kind of vibe again.
