I mean zombie walking pokemon girl isn't exactly a unique or new concept. That's like saying "I can't believe you ripped off Plsgts for drawing an anime girl coiled up by Kaa."

No, this is pretty standard Karma-X fare. Similarities are likely coincidental

Actually this is a model from a 3D character creator program called Koikatsu Party, in which a character of Misty was made in it. I then took this character, loaded it up, altered the outfit, removed the normal clothes, and exported the character as a model using a modded version of Koikatsu Party that allows for extracting the models made from it into a usable format.

I then took the model, and used another program to convert the file into a PMX file, while going through and reapplying the textures. This 3D character PMX file, I then loaded up in another program called MikuMikuDance that only takes PMX models which allows for easy posing of them.

I made the pose by moving the character joints into what I wanted, turned the camera, exported a snapshot of the posed model, loaded it up in Photoshop (where I also added the text), did further edits to clean up anything that looked slightly off about the posed model, then placed it on a background, (in this case it's from Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee), and wrote the text.

So basically a 3D character made in a character maker, changed the clothes, extracted the model, converted it, altered the model, posed the model, photoshopped it, and all that.

I didn't used to use Koikatsu Party, I used to use models that were already made, but those made it too hard to freely change the clothes, so I started using this method, more.

Also in other ones, depending on the background I used, I would try to change the lighting and colors of the character in Photoshop to try and match the background. For here I lightened the colors since she's outside.

If I wanted to do anything else like add any objects or something, I would do an extra step and make a new object in another program like Blender and add those to the model, but since I didn't have to here, I didn't use that step.

Granted it's not as MUCH work as it would be if I made EVERYTHING from scratch like more talented modelers do, but this definitely took a lot more work than just taking a Jimryu drawing. :P

There is no version of reality where I would ever stoop to doing that. (Though I do like his work).

This new method though, allows me to change almost any aspect of the character before I export it, making outfit changes a whole lot less painful. It also gives me the freedom of having a LOOOOT more characters to use (and to make my own new characters, myself if I want to, and I have)

Hmm. Maybe I should be flattered that someone thought this was a drawing in the first place, I guess. Ehe.

Eh. I suppose.

I admit that much of what I do isn't exactly "groundbreaking", but it's just me doing as a hobby the things that I like seeing, even if it is honestly kind of repetitive to some extent. I just like this.

Especially since I draw far far less these days, and never even had that much confidence in my drawing to the point where I mostly just do 3D now, since the characters, when I get them right, look better and more accurate than my older art. As long as I get them to look like what I want, it's good enough for me (and honestly still takes a level of effort this way, still)

I'm content to be the "zombie walk girl" person. -shrug- :P 'Innovation' ain't exactly my middle name, when exhibitionism, panties, and zombie walks are basically the things I like, so they're a constant running theme.

I've been giving, more or less same thing around this community since 2001. Why stop now? haha.

There's nothing wrong with sticking to what you enjoy and refining it. In fact, it's your love of zombie walking girls that makes you one of the few artists that pull off the scenario so well imo. I was just making a point of how silly it is to say this is ripping off Jimryu when zombie walking is such a common hypno trope and the pokemon girls are probably one of the most popular subs in the hypno fetish scene that there was bound to be overlap.

I'm glad to hear you say that, because it had been on my mind lately. Not necessarily in any negative way, it's just been on my mind, and made me wonder if I've really been going about things in the way I should. But you bring up a good point that perhaps I should just keep doing what I like. :)
