you know, this brings to mind a great idea that the comics never did with sally and rouge. Rouge is a thief who's almost typecast as some wile E. coyote type who just wants the master emerald. what if she set her sights on something just as important to steal: the throne of the Kingdom of Acorn? Not the chair, but the position. Say, she steals the emerald not to keep it but to control Sally into formally relinquishing her country into Rouge's hands.
