“Why if it isn’t little Amity,” a cooing voice greeted the worried girl. “Feels like it’s been ages since I’ve seen you,” Amity was shocked to see what looked like Luz… but… older.

the flour in the air must’ve tickled her nose. “You have… to…” her eyes refocused on the apron, her thoughts felt fuzzy as she instinctively reached out to it. What had she been saying? She had been… worried… about… about the cookies…
“you… have to share the recipe if I’m going to help you!” Amity smiled as she tied the apron around her waist. After all, that’s what good friends do when their bestie finds a man
