The artifacting is because this site can't display images with an transparent background clearly as it isn't the image itself that is bad, but something with the coding of this site.

I think it has more to do with how big your pic is. after clicking view large my PC started to lag to a standstill while it loaded.
perhaps your artifacting will go away if you get a smaller pic next time.
