Untrue, headcrabs keep their hosts mentally intact but unable to control their own body below the head or remove the headcrab. They break into the head but don't eat it. This is why many zombies in half life cry out for help in understandable, muffled, English. They are well aware of their situation and are helpless to stop it. Many posts here that include conscious subs unable to resist are still counted as mind control.
