During her teen years, Cassie Sandsmark's relationship with her mother had not been smooth. Cassie was a demigod living with her superhero teammates in the world's most elaborately equipped college dorm, or at least that's what her mother called Titans Tower. Meanwhile, her mother, Helena, would be living half the world away leading new archaeological digs in the Mediterranean, Northern Africa and the Middle East.

Despite this distance, the mother & daughter shared an unspoken agreement to celebrate Mother's Day at least once a year. Schedules wouldn't always allow for the American allocation for the day, so they had agreed on the day for the nation that Helena would be working on that date; Jordan, which meant 21st March.

The dig site was actually located in the desert plains in the east of the country, and Helena's team had already uncovered a number of artefacts. A veritable cave of wonders it seemed.

The first of the artefacts to be sent back from the site was sitting on Helena's desk as Cassie stormed into the office in front of Helena. They had argued about Cassie's tendency to risk her life too hastily (in Helena's opinion as a mother, of course), which had in turn moved onto the uncomfortable topic of Cassie's immortal father. Fearing that her daughter would use her powers to leave without resolving the matter, Helena had for the first time used her failsafe word to negate Cassie's powers until she repeated it.

The white hot anger in her daughter's voice only grew louder, of course. Helena had regretted the assertion of power the moment she used it, but her pride meant that she couldn't let Cassie leave angry. She just wished the could be closer, like they used to be... Neither of the women notice the trail of pinkish red smoke leaking from the artefact as they argued.

Mother's Day is celebrated on different days around the world and each pic will have a connection to those places... except for UK Mother's Day this year, which will be for me. UK Mother's Day 2023 will be when this set ends.

March 21st is Mother's Day in most Arab countries, and the connection I immediately hooked on was Jasmine, which was a little difficult since she doesn't have an on screen mother. So, I then found the faux-Amazons episode of the Aladdin TV series with a Cpt. Janeway as 'Hipsodeth'... So, from there, I eventually settled on mischievous djinn Jasmine (based on her Jafar's queen design) granting the misplaced wishes of the Sandsmarks.

Oh my gosh yes~~~ and a mother's day series from around the world is such a fun and good idea!!!!

Mmmmmmmmmmmm gosh that's so hot and glad Jasmine is enjoying herself too hehehehe <3
