I just saw this entire comic and man it is oddly comforting.

Today I had to deal with my dad trying to force an arranged marriage on me and it ended with him calling me a whore to be married off to, but this comic has been weirdly comforting me...

Hey anon in the first comment! Depending on where you live there are a lot of resources you can reach out to to help with getting away from a situation where you might end up in a forced marriage. The Tahirih Justice Center is a great option if you're in the US and has information on other ways to get help, too.

Also, if you are in the US or another western country and your parents have family in the country their culture is rooted in, be wary of them trying to take you to that country for an alleged family visit or vacationthis is a common trick for families trying to arrange a marriage for a reluctant child. If they get you there you may not be able to get back home.

Don't be afraid to reach out for help online, too. Plenty of subreddits and other places on the internet where you can talk to people who have experience in this sort of thing. Good luck, anon. I hope things work out for you.
