I saw origamiswami had posted the other version of this scene (post #150940), so I dug up the original and added a few more scenes for continuity. I also took inspiration from origamiswami's post in the latter half, so you can can compare the two together.

Man...can't beat classic Pokemon anime animation. Over 2 decades and this movie's quality aged like fine wine.

While the recent Pokemon movies from the last 5 years will age like cheap beer unfortunately.

Come to think of it, there hasn't been much Mind Control/hypnosis in the recent Pokemon anime series. And while MC subplots are poorly written in the Pokemon anime series anyways (with the exception of when this Nurse Joy was mind controlled by Mewtwo who actually had important reasons too albeit not "good" reasons) I was secretly hoping Koharu/Chloe from Pokemon Journeys would get MC by a Pokemon no matter the contexts.

Only cause that useless character deserves it. Uggh...but it's whatever. Fanart will have to do.

And while I'm rambling, it's nice to see users on the hub take the appreciation of Pokemon animation like this clip here. With those "animation enthusiasts" would appreciate Pokemon anime animation both classical and modern instead of the usual:

"XY has great animation quality because of it's battles"

"Sun & Moon has great animation quality because comedy/funny faces"

And completely neglecting that Diamond & Pearl anime series is when the anime series truly peaked in BOTH aspects. Not to mention the DP anime series has a lot of MC/hypnosis scenes anyways but I'm sure "those animation enthusiasts" wouldn't know.

Only the remske of this very movie will age badly. The other recent pokemon movies all look great so I don't know why you're making a general statement that all the ones in the last 5 years will age badly

Classic~~~

And ya I love gen 4 for peak anime and movie goodness. I mean we got a loose but still connected trilogy.

I don't like the newer ones as much but after all the lower quality ones from gens 6 and 7. The Power of Us and Coco have been very well done. I dislike the alternte time line stuff but it's needed for the casuals I guess...now we wait to see when the heck the next movie will be lolol
