I appreciate the attempt to make Killing Bites jibe with actual science, but no, this series is just incredibly goofy about how it treats animal powers. Real world civet pheromones would have no effect on a cheetah and a honey badger, but the manga claimes civet pheromones are strong enough to affect other species. It also claims that honey badgers (the actual animal, not just the super hybrid) have fur strong enough to make them bulletproof.

To be fair honey badgers being the berserker superman of the animal kingdom was a meme the Japanese seemed to love since all their honey badger gajinkas are pretty much indestructible.

Also, they are using proper facts incorrectly. Civets have potent pheromones, that only effect other civets.

Yeah, it's all very "guy heard about a real animal fact secondhand, misremembered it, and then presents it as Real Word Animal Facts in his comic". Like, I don't mean just "the honey badger girl is immune to bullets", I mean there's a full-page narrator digression presenting this as a fun fact about real-world honey badgers. It's goofy and dumb, but in a way I think is fun.
